Nassiriya Project 2007 – 2021: Fifteen Years inside the Metaverse
Camp Italia ospita la mostra fotografica “Nassiriya Project 2007-2021: Fifteen Years inside the Metaverse” che si tiene nella regione a lingua italiana dal 9 al 21 Novembre sul lungomare della sim.
La mostra espone alcune delle foto più significative del progetto “In Memory of Nassiriya” nato nel metaverso di Second Life nel 2007 e che ospita annualmente, assieme alla cerimonia per i caduti, alcune attività di ricordo.
In 25 scatti, alcuni dei quali del fotografo Wildstar Beaumont, la memoria dei Caduti Italiani, militari e civili, nelle missioni di supporto alla pace, si ripropone una carrellata storica e di testimonianza di come la memoria può trovare adeguata espressione e comunicazione nei mondi virtuali sempre in costante evoluzione.
In ciò, il metaverso della Linden Lab, ha saputo unire esigenze di privacy e libertà dentro il costante impegno di dare ai suoi “residenti” una piattaforma multiuso a dimensione umana e nel rispetto dei diritti di tutti.
Vi aspettiamo dal 9 Novembre in Camp Italia per l’apertura della mostra fotografica e, per coloro che volessero, il 12 Novembre alla Cerimonia di Ricordo presso il Memorial Garden di Second Life.

Camp Italia hosts the photographic exhibition “Nassiriya Project 2007-2021: Fifteen Years inside the Metaverse” which is held in the Italian-speaking region from 9 to 21 November on the seafront of the sim.
The exhibition displays some of the most significant photos of the “In Memory of Nassiriya” project born in the metaverse of Second Life in 2007 and which annually hosts, together with the ceremony for the fallen, some remembrance activities.
In 25 shots, some of which by the photographer Wildstar Beaumont, the memory of the fallen Italians, military and civilians, in the peace support missions, presents a historical overview and testimony of how memory can find adequate expression and communication in virtual worlds always in constant evolution.
In this, the Linden Lab metaverse has been able to combine the needs of privacy and freedom within the constant commitment to give its “residents” a multipurpose platform on a human scale and respecting the rights of all.
We are waiting for you from 9 November in Camp Italia for the opening of the photo exhibition and, for those who wish, on 12 November at the Ceremony of Remembrance at the Second Life Memorial Garden.
